Act two of Baldur’s Gate 3 raises the stakes from the first act. These missable encounters are worth experiencing before the third and final act.

Therefore, players who are looking for the most overpowered weapons should look no further than these options that not only hit hard but come with abilities that make them perfect for any player who is looking to break Baldur’s Gate 3 through the various combat they encounter.

Updated on October 26, 2024, by Megan Smith: When approaching the third and final act of Baldur’s Gate 3, the fights the player is likely to face become incredibly dangerous and require the player to think tactfully if they hope to survive. Thankfully, by this point, the player should’ve found plenty of overpowered weapons in BG3 that, when equipped by the right class, are sure to deal an abundance of damage to both regular foes and the horrid bosses of Act 3. While mods have allowed these BG3 weapons to be equipped at the very start of the game using various cheat rings, some players may still be intrigued to know how to get these overpowered weapons the right way and which ones are by far the best to grab during a playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3.

Although Shar’s Spear of Evening is given to Shadowheart, players that want to see the overpowering potential of this BG3 weapon should be sure to pry it away from the hands of their Cleric and instead give it to a rogue like Astarion to use the spear to its full attention.

Many of the additional features of this legendary spear from Act 2 benefit a rogue greatly due to them allowing the player to cast Shar’s Darkness every turn, which is essentially the Darkness spell, since the spear also stops the player from being blinded, a rogue can use this cloud of Darkness to exploit their stealth attacks on enemies while also dealing additional damage to those foes found within the dark.

While players may not get this incredibly overpowered Baldur’s Gate 3 weapon until Act 3, the weapon is certainly worthwhile for any player who enjoys being able to hit multiple times during a turn.

Putting Belm on a Fighter will allow the player to hit for a minimum of four times, including action surge, due to the player being able to hit normally three times and then an extra hit using Perfectly Balanced Strike. This will give some enemies no chance of having a turn.

Balduran’s Giantslayer is arguably one of the best weapons in the game, as well as being one of the most OP weapons too, with this greatsword being perfect for fighting larger enemies. In Act 3, after revealing a genie’s cheating ways, a player has the chance to find the legendary trident, Nyrulna, sitting in a locked chest. When thrown, this trident will return to the player’s hand, but that isn’t what makes it so broken.

Throwing this trident at a foe will not only do its usual damage but also hit an area surrounding where it landed for an additional amount of Thunder damage. This therefore allows players to have an infinite explosive on hand at all times.

Bloodthirst is one of the most overpowered daggers in the entirety of BG3. This weapon is great for players who have planned to duel-wield, as the dagger has different effects depending on whether it is held in the player’s main or offhand.

Players will likely want to use the Bloodthirst in their offhand, as this allows the lethal knife to cast True Strike on an enemy that is hit with it. Therefore, players can start with a hit from this dagger to then make sure their more powerful main hand weapon strikes true.

With the power of the Arcane Battery, the player’s next spell cast won’t cost a spell slot.
