Overwatch 2 just revealed a new gameplay trailer for Stadium, the highly customizable game mode coming in Season 16. Featuring a third-person camera option, upgradable abilities, and game-breaking character builds, Stadium arrives in Overwatch 2 with its first batch of heroes and maps on April 22.

Now, just a week ahead of the game mode’s official release, Overwatch 2 has revealed an exciting gameplay trailer showcasing the Stadium game mode. Featuring a gripping comeback from the perspective of one of the two teams, fans can see some of the powerful new abilities at play, including an AoE Nano-Boost from Ana, a Biotic Orb Multiball from Moira, a damaging Orbital Ray from Juno, a mini B.O.B. with Ashe, and a rolling snowball attack for Mei. Players can also see how Cash, the currency used to upgrade their abilities, is earned via eliminations and other gameplay, or by selling powers and items between each round.

Overwatch 2 Stadium Game Mode Arrives April 22

Only 15 heroes can be seen in the Stadium trailer, though Blizzard eventually plans on adding others in the future. Soldier: 76, Genji, Reaper, Ashe, Mei, and Cassidy are the options for damage heroes, Juno, Ana, Moira, Kiriko, and Lucio as options for support players, and Reinhardt, Zarya, Junker Queen, and Orisa make up the cast of playable tanks. Additionally, though she is not in the trailer, D.Va can be seen in other promotional material for Stadium in Overwatch 2, so she may be available as well. Shortened versions of familiar Clash, Push, and Control maps appear in the game mode, alongside brand-new maps like Gladius, a battlefield located inside the Colosseo arena.

The Stadium game mode debuts with the launch of Season 16 on April 22. Overwatch 2 has previously stated that it hopes Stadium will become a new pillar of the game alongside the likes of classic Quick Play and Competitive modes, so players should expect it to receive plenty of post-launch support in the coming months.
