There are multiple weapon vendors in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, but not all shops are created equal. Some cities have more talented blacksmiths who sell rarer varieties of swords, axes, bows, and other weaponry, while other merchants may have more gold to spend on players’ loot. If players want to get the best equipment that Oblivion Remastered has to offer, then they’ll need to visit specific shops throughout Cyrodiil.
Even if players already have a favorite weapon shop in Oblivion Remastered, merchants get refreshed inventories with new gear on a regular basis. Everything is scaled to the player’s level, so stronger weapons and armor will start to show up as they complete more quests and progress through the main storyline. With that said, some items are only available at certain stores in specific cities, which can make shopping a little confusing.

Best Weapon Shops in Oblivion Remastered
Since shop inventories in Oblivion Remastered change as the player levels up, they start to blend together with similar stocks of goods. Because of this, most weapon vendors are interchangeable with one another, barring a few exceptions. As such, the best overall weapon shop in Oblivion Remastered is A Fighting Chance in the Imperial City Market District because of its central location and ease of access. There, players can purchase all kinds of weapons and even train their Armorer skill.
Some merchants have unique items for sale that cannot be obtained anywhere else, but below are the best weapon shops offering special enchanted weapons:
A Fighting Chance
In addition to being the best overall weapon shop in Oblivion Remastered, A Fighting Chance in the Imperial City Market District also has a unique axe for players to buy. The Battleaxe of Hatred is enchanted with Damage Strength, Damage Willpower, and Damage Endurance, making it a stat-draining powerhouse. The price of this weapon varies based on players’ Mercantile skill levels, but it costs roughly 7000 gold.
Jensine’s Good as New Merchandise
Even though it’s technically not a weapon shop, Jensine’s Good as New Merchandise in the Imperial City Market District is actually home to one of the strongest enchanted items in Oblivion Remastered. The Akavari Warblade is a two-handed katana enchanted with Damage Fatigue, Damage Health, and Damage Magicka. With a value of 2000 gold, this weapon is a steal for low-level players.
The Archer’s Paradox
Located in Bravil, The Archer’s Paradox is home to one of Oblivion Remastered‘s strongest enchanted bows. The Bow of Infliction is an ebony bow enchanted with Damage Agility and Drain Marksman, so it’s perfect for shutting down enemy archers. It costs about 5000 gold, depending on the player’s Mercantile skill, but it’s more than worth the asking price because of the Drain Marksman enchantment alone.
These are just a few of the unique vendor weapons found in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, so players should keep their eyes out for special enchanted gear whenever they visit a new shop. Players can eventually create their own custom enchantments that offer stronger benefits than store-bought alternatives, too.
