Last week’s One Piece chapter was quite chaotic, and it saw the vast majority of the conflict in Elbaf being resolved, but at the same time, it also set up the biggest battle in the entire series. For starters, last week’s chapter did more than enough to give the Straw Hat Pirates a fighting opportunity against the Domi Reversi Army. One by one, all the giants are being cleansed in the land of Elbaf, and the Holy Knights are being subdued as well. With Somers no longer around, Killingham was completely neutralized by the Straw Hat Pirates, which turned all the attention to the one left, and that is Gunko, controlled by Imu.
After Imu destroyed both Brook and Usopp in battle, Luffy and Loki arrived on the scene, setting the stage for the ultimate clash which is going to unfold in One Piece chapter 1178. Now, what makes this clash even more exciting is Imu labeling it as the battle that would divide the whole world. Assessing The Beginning Of The Elbaf Arc’s Climax
It is clear, based on how things are going, that the Elbaf arc will not last long now. Most fans expected Elbaf to be a long-running arc, but given how it is going, it is difficult to imagine it extending past 20 to 25 more chapters. In other words, it is highly likely that the Elbaf arc of One Piece will wrap up in 2026. Now that most threats have already been taken care of, it is likely that the rest of the arc will focus solely on the battle between Imu and the duo of Loki and Luffy. If this battle begins in One Piece chapter 1178, it is likely to extend for 20 or so chapters at the very least, which would give ample time for Oda to illustrate the abilities of Loki, Luffy, and Imu properly.
In the end, Elbaf cannot risk losing this battle, because that would deal a massive blow to the whole world fighting against the oppression of the World Government. One way or another, Elbaf has to emerge victorious from this battle, and at the end of this fight, the Holy Knights will be defeated and Imu will be pushed back by Luffy and Loki. The Elbaf arc will come ever closer to its end, but Oda might spend some more time in the country, especially in the Heaven Realm, which has been largely unexplored so far.
All things taken into consideration, it is clear to see that this arc will wrap up sooner rather than later. Elbaf is already in its climax, and starting from One Piece chapter 1178 onwards, things will only get more chaotic. One Piece chapter 1178 is set for release on March 29, 2026, on Manga Plus.
