Xbox Making Unique 2025 Tactical RPG 100% Free for a Limited Time

Befitting its typical schedule, Xbox is expected to reveal a handful of games coming to its free game promotion on August 13, but the developer of one of those games has already confirmed its inclusion. While some may have shorter or longer windows, Xbox users can expect most of these games to last from Thursday, August 13 to Sunday, August 16.

The Xbox Free Play Days Promotion runs the gamut, sometimes offering small indie games to major games like GTA Online for free. Sometimes an Xbox Game Pass subscription is required to check out one or two of these games, while sometimes they are free for all. Sometimes players have access to an entire open-world blockbuster, and sometimes it’s a shorter timed trial of the game. It varies, which means Xbox users should not always write it off without seeing if they can access the games or not.

Sunderfolk is the First Xbox Game Coming to Free Play Days (August 13-August 16)

Developer Secret Door has confirmed that its fantasy tactical RPG Sunderfolk will be available as part of Xbox Free Play Days this week. It’ll become available on August 13 and last through August 16, and it’s worth noting that it currently sits at a 93% Very Positive rating on Steam (after nearly 2000 users). It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but for fantasy fans or fans of games like Dungeons and Dragons, Sunderfolk successfully brings it to video game format. The important thing to note most, moreover, is that this is one of the more limited giveaways. While it is free during this time period, it is only free to those with an Xbox Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate benefit. Free perks are still free perks, though.

For the uninitiated, Sunderfolk is set in a world filled with anthropomorphic animals, and players choose a class and receive a corresponding main character. They then go through a story focused on saving the town they live in, with a unique control scheme: phones. I know how it can sound, but Sunderfolk‘s mobile device as a controller approach really works to make the game feel more like a tabletop game night than a co-op video game night, as the former really applies more than the latter.

When I previewed Sunderfolk ahead of its 2025 release, I described the experience as more tabletop than video-game like, but still capable of bringing out the best of both mediums. I also added that “It has all the merits to stand on its own as an IP and new gameplay experience.” Having already played the full game (and probably starting a new playthrough soon because this news is giving me that itch), I stand by the statement—even though a developer and a colleague stole my gold in-game (I’ll never forget). There’s also been new content added since launch, including new classes. Any tabletop game fans owe it to themselves to check the game out. It won’t be for everyone, but it absolutely can click.

Of course, Xbox Free Play Days typically makes anywhere between 3-5 games free for a limited time, usually accompanied by a discount. That means folks can pick Sunderfolk (or others) up cheaper once this period ends to keep it forever, but if this tactical RPG doesn’t do it for some users, that’s perfectly okay—Xbox will reveal more games soon.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
